Make a Difference: Support Helping Hands Uganda-Canada Aid!
Are you ready to change a child’s life? At Helping Hands Uganda-Canada Aid, we are passionate about giving underprivileged children in Eastern Uganda the tools and resources they need to thrive.
Founded in Toronto by Tracy Wanyama, our charity is staffed entirely by volunteers. This allows us to ensure that at least 80% of funds raised go directly towards supporting children in need. We are also proud to be a Canadian registered charity (847107950RR0001).
How Your Donation Helps
When you contribute to Helping Hands Uganda-Canada Aid, you are supporting:
1. Education
- Covering school fees, uniforms, shoes, and supplies.
2. Medical Expenses
- Local doctors treat the children, and we pay the bills directly.
3. Basic Necessities of Life
- Providing food during times of inflation.
- Delivering solar lamps to families in remote villages without electricity, replacing dangerous kerosene lamps with clean energy.
4. Income-Generating Projects
- Previously, children were gifted goats to breed and trade for cows, helping to provide nutrition and income. (This program is temporarily on hold due to limited funding.)
Ways to Help
There are many ways you can make an impact:
1. Spread the Word
Your voice matters! Share our mission with your friends and family. Word-of-mouth is our most effective fundraising tool.
2. Donate Goods
We are in need of clothes, shoes, school supplies, and solar lamps.
3. Organize a Fundraiser
Host a bingo night, BBQ, garage sale, or any creative event to raise funds for HHU.
4. Donate Money
Choose the donation that’s right for you:
- One-time donation: Any amount.
- Sponsorship: $50/month to give a child a future.
- School uniform: $20 one-time donation.
- Goat for a family: $85.
- Solar lamp: $60.

5. Volunteer Your Services
